Lawlah James “Jimmy” Watson, 67, of Washington, D.C., transitioned peacefully on March 30, 2025. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he dedicated his life to service—both to his country and to God. Jimmy served as Executive Pastor at Prayer and Word Church, having begun ministry 36 years earlier in Maryland prisons, shelters, and on city streets. He is remembered for his unwavering faith, integrity, and heart for people.
